Ting Zheng

Before founding Zelkova Law, she practiced at an Am Law 100 firm, where she gained experience in a broad range of legal matters, including intellectual property, data privacy, regulatory compliance, and commercial litigation.

Her work included drafting and negotiating intellectual property and data privacy agreements; responding to government regulatory inquiries and assisting with product recalls; preparing and responding to demand letters; handling pre-litigation disputes and settlement negotiations; and working on trademark and copyright litigation.

She also brings a background in business and finance, having worked in corporate accounting, private equity, and early-stage startups. Her private equity experience included establishing a U.S. firm's representative office in Shanghai.

Through these experiences, she developed a practical, business-oriented approach to legal problem-solving. She understands that legal challenges rarely arise in isolation and that effective counsel requires not only a sound understanding of the law, but also an appreciation of the client's business objectives, risks, and resources.

At Zelkova Law, she brings this perspective to every engagement, helping clients identify legal issues early, evaluate their options, and pursue practical, cost-effective solutions. She also works with other law firms as contract counsel and co-counsel.
